Xbox wireless headset crackling on Xbox Series X.

Kindly try to perform a factory reset keep my games and apps as part of the troubleshooting steps.

Before we proceed with your Factory reset I just want to inform you that you will only choose Reset and keep my games and apps to make sure your saved data won't be deleted permanently and also all of the accounts that are set as home Xbox will be removed and all signed in accounts will be signed out from the console.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Try to check if the headset works.

Tried the suggestions above to reset console. Requested an exchange from Amazon. If still issue I'll return and buy a different headset. I've tried moving my console and getting closer to it. Still the headset crackles when playing music or gaming. 1Gb up/down fiber connection , open NAT, Still have issue.

I understand you about the xbox license.

I rather not want to have a wireless headset because I dont like charging and the battery life will decrease over time. So that leave me with two options:
1. Wired, 3.5mm into the Xbox series x controller
2. Wired, usb, into the Xbox series X

I checked the microsoft store and there are only 2 compatible series X headsets. Both wireles.

Do you know any wired Xbox series X headset? That is compatible with the series x? I prefer USB but have to go 3.5mm otherwise.

I have another headset that's the Razor Kraken wired and a PDP wireless headset, both from Walmart. They were having that static crackle issue in party chat and then I thought I would get a higher end headset with Astro. I'm now on my third Astro headset and have plugged it directly into the aux port and also through the mix amp that plugs to the bottom of the controller. Both with the same results. I'm starting to think it's possibly the Series X.
