I assume you are connecting the headset to your PC using Bluetooth, is that correct? Unfortunately, this is simply a limitation of Bluetooth technology.

Bluetooth does not have enough bandwidth for high-quality audio while the microphone is in use, so there will be a noticeable difference in audio quality when you're on a call. This won't happen on Series X, as it doesn't connect to the headset using Bluetooth.

It's recommended to use an Xbox Wireless Adaptor for Windows instead of Bluetooth. It uses a different wireless technology which doesn't have this limitation.

Here’s what I’ve found out based on your Amazon Fire TV 4-Series (Serial: G9V1TH03144603WE):

This model does not support sending Bluetooth audio from devices connected through HDMI inputs — like your Xbox. Bluetooth on this TV only works for content coming directly from Fire TV apps, which explains why your headphones work fine there but go silent when you switch over to the Xbox.

Here’s what you can try instead:

Use a Bluetooth transmitter on your Xbox controller

Plug a Bluetooth transmitter into the 3.5mm jack on your Xbox controller. It’s a reliable way to wirelessly connect your existing Bluetooth headphones directly to the console.

Use a headset designed for Xbox

Some headsets connect using the Xbox Wireless protocol or a USB dongle that works straight with the console. This bypasses the TV entirely and gives you proper in-game and chat audio.

The LucidSound LS35X is a wireless headset with a 3.5mm audio jack.

I use a Bose QC35II myself. I can connect it with Bluetooth to 2 devices simultaneously. And for gaming I connect it to the controller with a detachable cable.

The only thing I cannot do with it is voice chat on the xbox (but im not intended to do that anyway).

Unfortunately, there is no built-in mic on the Xbox Series X and no bluetooth support if you're thinking to go that route.



You will need to attach a headset with a mic to the Xbox Series X controller. The Xbox Series X controller uses a standard 2.5mm audio connection for Xbox Live, you can use any standard headset. (It does not have to be something fancy or expensive.)
