Xbox wireless gamepad on smart TV for Steam Link

I found on Steam's support site for the Steam Link that a few controllers are compatible with the Steam Link on a Samsung Smart TV, but the Xbox One wireless controller is not one of them. It says wired so you will need to use it with a USB cable.

Well, I managed to pair my gamepad with Steam Link, my android phone (Sony Z5), my android TV, even with my PS3, every device recognized it as a "Wireless XBOX gamepad" and synced with it, however that's all I managed to do. No input there for me, I suspect
that there are no drivers for the time being. The strangest thing is that I tried to connect it wired on my Steam Link and still it did not work.

Ok, so, first things first I updated the gamepad via the XBOX accessories app on Windows 10. This got me to the point of being able to use it with my Android TV (for all that matters it's a Sony W805c). However I played with it a bit with the Moonlight app
to stream a couple of games (Borderlands and Arkham Origins) and the inputs are messed up. I suppose the bugs are caused by the lack of proper drivers.

Secondly, I don't do something special in order to pair it with Steam Link. I go to the Bluetooth option in Steam Link, I press the sync button on XBOX ONE S gamepad, the Steam Link sees it as "XBOX wireless controller" and they pair. However, even after
the gamepad's update nothing works. Interestingly, I tried to connect the gamepad with the micro-USB cable to Steam Link and it does not work even on that instance. The home button is blinking and the buttons do not work.

The wired or wireless connection is handled through your router, not the Samsung Smart TV. Samsung Smart TV has nothing to do with Xbox One. Connect the Xbox One directly to your wireless or wired router, not your Samsung Smart TV.
