  1. Xbox Wireless Controller - Wireless Receiver Problem - Windows 10,

previously they worked without any problem

Xbox One controller stopped syncing I already tried different drivers or update the controllers by Xbox Accessories

tried different drivers for XBOX ACC Driver, installed normally but it does not correct the fault.

Windows Update and unofficial drivers for the adapter. etc

works only by cable or bluetooth

I have two xbox wireless receivers, same problem.

when synchronizing both blink, sometimes the receiver doesn't.

Xbox 360 wireless controller please the step for w8.1

    Hello Grondis,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The Xbox 360 wireless controller requires a gaming receiver in order to connect to a computer. The article entitled

Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows 10
contains steps on how to set up the controller on a Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7 computer. Be sure to let us know the results!

Can the X Box One Wireless Controller with Bluetooth also be used with the X Box One Wireless Adapter for Windows 10?

    Hi Beau,

Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to answer that.

The Xbox One Wireless controller with Bluetooth can be connected to a Windows 10 PC with a USB cable, Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, so yes, it can be connected via the adapter. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 is not
compatible with an Xbox 360 controller and will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. I'll provide the support articles with this information:

    I hope this helps!

Has it been said if a wired controller with a transforming d-pad is coming out?

Pretty sure all those controllers are wireless and as you've noticed, there is no way to make a wireless controller wired using a Play & Charge. For a wireless controller to work in Windows you need a Xbox Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. They used
to be sold separately, but now are only included in the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows.

So, unless you can find a Gaming Receiver on it's own, you may need to by the Wireless Windows controller first. Once you have the receiver, it will work on all wireless Xbox controllers including the transforming D-pad ones.

    XBOX360 drivers

As schnurren already mentioned, the Play & Charge kit only provides power to the controller. No actual input data is transmitted via the Play & Charge cable.

    You will need the
    Microsoft Wireless Gaming Receiver
, and Windows 10 will automatically download the necessary drivers from Windows Update.

DO NOT confuse the Microsoft Wireless Gaming Reciever with the newer Xbox One Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows 10!! The black USB plug receiver that looks like a big USB flash drive won't work with the Xbox 360 controller. You will need the slightly
oval shaped Wireless Gaming Receiver that connects to an USB port via cable.

    Alternatively, instead of
    buying that Wireless Gaming Receiver
    , you could as well
    buy a Xbox One controller
from that money, and connect that controller with a standard Micro USB cable or via Bluetooth (if supported by your PC).

Connecting my Xbox 360 controller to Windows 8 laptop.

For wireless Xbox 360 controllers, you cannot use the charging cable to connect to a PC (it only transfers power, not data). To use the controller with a PC, you will either need an "Xbox 360 controller for Windows" (non-detachable cable) or use your existing
wireless controller with the wireless gaming receiver for Windows.

This is the wireless adapter you could use:
