    Xbox Wireless Controller Share Button Problem


    I bought two of the new controllers...Shock Blue and Pulse Red for my Xbox One X. The configuration for each controller is set to take a screenshot when the share button is tapped and a clip is recorded when pressed. However, on both of them, whether the share button is pressed or tapped, a clip is recorded. The only way to fix it is to reboot the system, then it behaves as it is supposed to. Even when I turn the system on, start a game right away, and tap the share button, a clip is recorded. Maybe it's just me but it seems kinda stupid to have to reboot the system right after turning it on just to get the share button working. If it was happening to one controller only then I'd let it pass, but it's happening to both of the new ones. Does anybody else have one of the new controllers with an Xbox One X? Does it work for you? Does anybody have any suggestions on what to try to get it to behave properly?

    Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

    Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

    Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
    quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.

    Odd Problem

    I had a problem with this too, i learned it helps to connect your wireless controller after you connect the wireless reciever by pressing and holding the sync buttons on both the xbox and wireless controller at the same time. Just first plug in and connect
    to your wireless reciever. then turn on your wireless controllers, then quickly press both sync buttons on your xbox and controller simultaneously until it connects. other then this i have searched and not found another solution, but i hope this helps :D

    A button or a port on your wireless controller partially works or doesn’t work at all

    If you have another Xbox One Wireless Controller, use it to reproduce what you were trying to do with the original controller.

    If you experience the same problem using the second wireless controller, the problem is probably with the app or game you’re using. Consult the troubleshooting information for that app or game.

    If you don’t experience the same problem using the second wireless controller, then you should replace your current controller. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center.

    it will never happen when they keep saying gaming is better on windows 11, when it clearly is not. most you can do is set it to take screenshots via steam.
