Xbox Wireless Adapter V2 having input lag and delay

Hi there! In October, I purchased another Xbox Carbon Controller plus a new Xbox Adapter. I gave me previous Xbox Carbon Controller and adapter to my brother. Thing is, my previous wireless adapter was working fine since the first day of use. As soon as I got the new one, I started having issues with its input lag. When my controller connect to it, the input lag is there and It's noticeable for the first minutes of gameplay. Then it will eventually go back to normal, but still having input lag sometimes during the playthrough.

I never had any issues with the previous adapter (the bigger one). I tried everything from switching USB connector to updating my controller through Xbox Accessories App. Nothing fixed it.

    What could it be?

    :)

Xbox Wireless Adapter V2 having input lag and delay

Hello señor c, my name is Oskayra, and I will be happy to help you.

Beforehand, it is important that you keep in mind that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox. All users help each other with common problems.

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you, I did an internal search in Xbox support and found a publication, where it mentions a series of steps that you can try to make the wireless adapter work and I thought it was good information, What to share with you and what you should keep in mind:

If your controller frequently disconnects from the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, it is usually due to environmental issues, such as no line of sight between the controller and the adapter or a lot of interference from, for example, metal objects. Try these suggestions to improve the connection between your controller and the adapter:

Make sure you are within the optimal coverage of the adapter (6 meters or less).

Use the USB extender device to bring the adapter closer to the controller.

Make sure there is a good line of sight between the adapter and the controller. Use the USB extender device if necessary. For these two devices to communicate smoothly, there need to be as few obstacles as possible between them.

Move the adapter away from metal areas and do not place it directly on a metal surface.

If it doesn't work in the end, you can use the following steps:

If the adapter was installed and working, but is not responding after waking the computer from sleep mode, it may be because the USB controller does not have the option to wake it when connecting wirelessly by default. This is normally handled by the USB controller driver.

There are two solutions to this problem:

With your Windows device running, unplug the device and plug it back in.

If that doesn't work, you can adjust the properties to enable Wake on Wireless. In the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Properties window, make sure that Allow this device to wake up your computer is selected. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Device Manager.

    2. Select Network Adapters > Wireless Adapter for Windows.

    3. Select Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to bring up the Properties window.

    4. Select the Power Management tab.

    5. Select Allow this device to wake up the computer, and then select OK.

Regarding the delay, is the running wired or wireless?

Reason I ask is if you are experiencing delay with button imputs and you are on wireless, you may be experiencing input lag, try and wire it in if possible and see if the issue resolves itself (this tends to be an issue in FPS games mostly in my experience

Xbox One controller broken by Windows Anniversary Update

Not sure if it will work for you guys, but I had very similar issues as well with my Xbox One Wireless Adapter. I was able to fix my issue by switching my Wireless Adapter from a USB 3.1 to a USB 2.0 slot in the back of my computer. Since then, I have had
no issues (other than the still uncorrected Input lag that hits after so much time).

I got a XB1 controller that is PC compatible but my PC do not pick it up

are you trying to connecting it wireless or wired?

If you are trying wireless, make sure you have the V2 controller and bluetooth support on your PC.
You don't need a V2 controller to connect it wirelessly a standard controller works as well aslong as you have the wirless adapter for windows 10

Input Lag on HDTV (XBOX 360)

What you have is called Input lag. This is the delay between the video game controller and what happens on-screen. In some cases, input lag can be minimized or eliminated if you are using an analog connection like VGA or component instead of DVI/hdmi.
