Xbox wireless adapter malfunction.

For a while now I have been using my Xbox controller with my pc. Recently when I plugged in the adapter it said that the USB malfunctioned. it doesn't get recognized by my computer. I was wondering how to fix this.

Sounds like your Wireless adapter has just conked out. I recommend buying the newer model adapter with the two prongs if you decide to buy a new adapter.

Hmm, could be. Do you know what frequency your wifi is broadcasting on?

So I just retried connecting... I can connect to my neighbors WiFi, but not my own. So it has nothing to do with the adapter. Now I think its just my WiFi.

would suggest you to follow the below recommended methods and article : Install
and Update drivers in Windows 10.

Method 1-
Follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter:
- Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.
- Click on Troubleshooting tab.
- Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
- Select the Hardware and Device option from the list.
- Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.
Method 2-
Check for Windows update to look for latest drivers for devices installed in your computer.

Try this out and let us know the results.

try delete the driver and install again the driver
