Xbox Wired Controllers don't work on mic

How come every xbox brand wired controller I have gotten doesn't work on my mic but it works on different brands or the wireless xbox brand controller?

Hello SawyerFelix, could specify what happens to your control, it would be official Xbox, which microphone tries to use, is connecting the headset directly to the controller, which happens exactly when trying to use the microphone, if you can give more details.

with PC works, only with controller not wired connected to xbox, mic doesn't work,

is possible that with anot wired connection mic is excluded ?

to fix the problem with all wired controllers, simply unplug the mic and controller, then plug the MIC in first, then plug the controller back in. Worked for me. Hopefully it works for you.

I dont know what tbs you have, but I have the x31s which have a separate volume control for the chat. If the mic wire is not plugged in, there is no control for chat voulume.

Perhaps if yours works the same, a broken wire for the mic could possibly cause yuo to not have control of the volume.

what controller you using wired or wireless? if it works on the other controller use it, the new controller you got take it back and get a new one and say to them its not working for the mic. so if that helps you out buddy, or see if any stuff is in controller
