    Xbox wired controller not working for PC cloud gaming


    Whenever I attempt to use my wired controller with my PC for Co-op cloud gaming it states the controller is not connected, we have tried inviting each other and other ways around it both controllers are brand new and work with single play gaming but glitch using the xbox game pass cloud gaming how do we fix this? Both are fully updated and connected properly this issue only seems to occur upon connection to cloud gaming servers specifically in this instance for "it takes two"

    Hi Geri,

    Thank you for your response here are the attempts of myself performing your suggestions.

    1. The controller is fully updated through the Xbox Accessories app, I do not know what you mean by repairing the controller to the PC.

    2. The controller works through both wired and wireless and I can navigate through the menu perfectly fine but when I open a game on the Cloud gaming app it does not work, It does work on installed games, however.

    3. I noticed that the controller did not work within the cloud gaming app is the first time trying to open any games within the cloud gaming app. I attempted to play through the browser Xbox website cloud gaming app and this worked perfectly fine.

    4. It has never worked on the Xbox app Cloud gaming but it works perfectly on the browser Xbox cloud gaming website.

    Hopefully, a fix can be found for this.

    Hi Sedomo! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

    When cloud gaming on an Xbox console, any wired or wireless controller that is compatible with an Xbox console will work for cloud gaming on console.

    If you’re using a web browser to play cloud games, the Xbox Wireless Controller is currently the only officially supported controller. Other controllers may or may not work for cloud gaming on a browser.

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like you're trying to get a Xbox 360 controller to work on your pc. How is this controller connecting to your PC? Is it a wired controller or wireless controller? If it's a wireless 360
    controller there is a wireless dongle that would be needed to have the controller work on PC. Please let us know.

    My MadCatz 360 controller works with PC games, so yes third party wired controllers do work on the PC.

    Hi Martina,

    Unfortunately not. Cloud gaming is currently only compatible with wired and Bluetooth controllers (not steering wheels, joysticks or any other type of peripherals). So your son would need to install MSFS 2020 and play natively to play the game with a Thrustmaster - a Series X|S or compatible PC would be required for this.
