  1. Xbox Win10 app crashes when I try to upload a video clip onto Xbox live

I've tried to upload different clips, but I keep getting the same results: the upload gets to 97/98%, then stops and the Xbox App crashes, without even an error message. What is the problem? What can be done to resolve/avoid it?

    :)

    Help !

Hello, I'm unable to upload and share edited Game DVR clips in the Xbox App on Windows 10 to Xbox Live. App crashes each time 99 % of the clip is uploaded.

    Unable to upload clips

I seem to have an error when uploading clips to Xbox Live through the app. I've recorded some clips of Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch. I tried to upload them, but when it reaches 98%, the app crashes and nothing uploads. I don't know why it's doing this because
it has worked fine in the past with both games.

Xbox Win10 app crashes when I try to upload a video clip onto Xbox live

    Hello Matte,

Sorry to hear about the issue with the Xbox App. Corrupted data may cause your game to not work properly. Here are two steps on how to isolate the system issue:

    1. Perform a clean boot, this helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update, or when you run a program in Windows 10. Here is a

    guide
on how to perform a clean boot.

    2. Here is a
    guide
on how to download the apps troubleshooter.

Hope this helps, please let us know.

    Thanks

  6. Hi Brad,

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, even after performing the clean boot, restoring the app and running a couple troubleshooter, the problem persists. There doesn't seem to be anything off about the videos; I tried them on the video player and it played
them without a problem, I even recorded them at different times. My attempt to upload them after about a day ended in failure too. The app keeps crashing by the end of the upload, and I don't have a clue about what is happening. How can I fix this problem?

1.Click Start, and then type Windows Powershell in the search box.
    2. Right-click, and then select run as administrator.
3.Type the following command to uninstall Xbox App:
    Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage
    4. hit Enter.

Launch Windows Store and re-download and install the Xbox App.

Let us know how it turns out.

  8. Xbox Win10 app crashes when I try to upload a video clip onto Xbox live

    Hello Brad,

Thank you for replying me once again. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox app as you said. Yet again, I can't seem to be able to upload any video clip, for the same error appears. I tried restoring the app from the advanced options in the app options,
    but it hasn't changed anything.

May there be something I have done that could have caused this problem? How can I identify such a thing?

  10. Hi Jasmine,

Thank you for answering me once again. I now know that the problem lies in my laptop. I tried switching accounts, but it didn't prevent the crash. I then decided to take a clip, save it in a USB drive and to copy it into another computer, which has the same
version of the app and the same account. then I tried to upload it there, and it worked! So it's obvious that there's something wrong with this computer, which is the one I use the most, by the way. Moreover, I noticed something strange while I was trying
to understand what keeps going wrong: while the file is uploading to Xbox Live, the pages don't scroll upwards nor downwards. I can change them, they show what they're supposed to show me, but it comes to going down them, they're stuck. It could be nothing,
but I thought it might help you, somehow.

Thank you for your support and happy Halloween,

    Matteo
