I have an Xbox Series “S” that died under its 1 year warranty. We received the unit back repaired and within a few months the unit once again died and we are now being told the unit is out of warranty and we would need to purchase a new unit.

Need help as we rarely used the unit and feel we just got a bad device and will not purchase a new unit with this type of response.

    :)

Thanks for your help. Getting a repair request filled out now. Fortunately, this happened a month BEFORE warranty ended, and not after.

    Hard reset EVERY day...

    Hello.

It definitely sounds like a problem with the disc drive, it's a very common problem with the Xbox One, unfortunately this happened to me a month after my warranty ran out, I have now found out I can't add additional warranty as it can only be purchased 45
days after the warranty has ran out, so I'm basically left with a useless and worthless overpriced xbox. If you have the warranty i highly recommend you send it off and get it repaired now and definitely consider getting the additional warranty, these xbox
    one's are very temperamental.

Problem with my 360 console service

When a repair is done on a console out of warranty they only give a 3 month warranty as replacement. A repair never guarantees it will work problem free for years to come although it would be nice if it did.

The final decision will always remain with you. However, I would like you to consider a couple of alternatives.

    1. Purchase a new 360 console (if you live in the States there aught to be lots of deals coming up).

    2. Purchase an Xbox One console

any way other the sending in and paying to get your xbox fixed with update errors?

Are you familiar with the term warranty repair? That means that if you console is 3 months old it is still under warranty. Warrant repairs are free.
