xbox will not connect to internet/modem/wifi

Hi, My xbox will not connect to my Internet. its keeps saying this. 'Your router may be set up to filter out some devices. Make sure your router or modem is not filtering out your console's MAC address which is 9_-__-__-__-_E.

Does anyone know how to fix this

Hi, try to access your modem settings and see if there are settings that block xbox.

Thank you for reaching out. If you haven't already done so, go ahead and try performing a Soft console Factory
reset on your console by doing the following:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select System.
Select Console info & updates.
Select Reset console. [KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS]

Make sure you have both your email and password on hand as you will be asked to sign back in. There is an option to delete everything and to save your games and apps; choose the latter.

I would like for you to try this so we can totally refresh your system from scratch. Don't worry about losing any games or apps.

Hi!

Try to check your router's firewall settings. Also, try setting a static IP address on your console and try again.

You could also try ressetting your internet modem/router, that will put them back to factory default, and in turn your console should then be able to connect.

Is your internet connection to xbox via wifi or wired?

Try cable internet straight from your modem.
