Xbox White Elite Controller - Series 1 got a broken replacement TWICE.

Hello everyone - bit of a frustrated customer today. I've been having an ongoing issue with Microsoft/Xbox with replacing my elite controller. Used my warranty to get a replacement for my controller because it was basically falling apartment. the rubbers
were falling off, the trigger sticks wouldn't go all the way down properly.. etc.

Got a replacement last month probably around feb 22ish (I sent it in the 13th) and the one they sent me had a really bad drift, things happen so I contacted support and they apologized, sent me a new one. Got this new replacement yesterday and this one is
ALSO busted, the microphone port is nonoperational. I can't speak to anyone - yes I've run through all the troubleshooting steps to be sure, and no its not my headset. I have 3, 2 of which are turtle beaches, brand new that work with any other controller I
use.

I've tried contacting support again, discussed bringing it into a store for the replacement instead to save me time since its been almost a month now but they don't have it in stock. Spoke to two new Microsoft support agents and the call has been either
hung up or dropped on me and kinda tired of calling especially since they're like 1 hour calls each.

someone help me - at this point I just want a functional controller without a new kink every time I get it. I'm so used to playing with my elite so when I switch to a standard controller my gaming is so off. Can I just get an upgrade to the series 2 at this
point!? a trade in or something. I'll pay the difference.

That is some bad luck. I'm sure I saw a trade in offer a while ago. See if you can search for it and trade yours in for a series 2

The Elite Controllers are pretty easy to work on. I just replaced a broken bumper on my Elite Series 1. It took about 20 minutes. You can find replacement parts on Amazon easily. Many companies have their own websites if you don't want to buy from Amazon.
There are plenty of videos on Youtube how to take apart and replace what is broken. I would recommend checking out the videos first to see if you want to give it try.

my standard Xbox one S white controller is still going strong after a good year so far. i also have a standard sky blue Xbox one controller which still going strong. there were some elite series 2 controllers which had a manufacturing problem but Xbox are
replacing those in warranty if they have the problem. overall the elite series 2 is a good controller.

if you purchase from a third party source i would recommend getting cover with it so if anything goes wrong you can replace it for free.

Each Elite controller series 2 comes with 1 set of paddles. You can order replacement paddles, thumbsticks etc.

Series 1 paddles, thumbsticks is not compatible with series 2.
