Xbox Weekly Sales - Not Able To Make Purchase

This past Monday 4/13/20 I attempted to purchase The Elder Scrolls Special Edition. I first tried on my computer but wasn't able to, my Xbox App on my tablet, wasn't able to - and finally my Xbox via the Store. For about 2 hours I would get the same
error message - Try That Again Something Happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help. Well I waited for about 2 hours and it never went through. Access the Xbox Support page via Twitter, I saw that there was an issue, but it had been corrected. I took
a picture and sent a private message via Twitter. I contacted Customer Support for follow up - Conversation ref# 1498889793 and Angela suggested I post here to get support. All I want to do is purchase the game at the sales price. I had shared the image
with Angela, it doesn't look like I can here.

I thought that as well, and I tried to make a purchase last night on a different game - and I was able to get up to the confirmation screen after selecting payment. I honestly believe the system was just bogged down at that time, and I missed my window.

You might want to double check your Online Safety settings by going to https://account.xbox.com/en-US/Settings and then the Buy and Download option. Make sure your account is configured to allow purchasable items
to be bought. If the setting is set to Only Free or Nothing, then that could be why that message is happening.

Nobody knows exactly.

Just keep checking the weekly deals with gold (and publisher sales). They refresh every Tuesday.

Also make sure to check the sales at your local retailer.

I was able to buy GTA5 on disc for 30 Euro's two months ago at a local retailer.

It was a one day promotion.

So keep checking the sales and hopefully you are lucky enough to get it cheap.

Answer:
No. The "weekly" sales will only be on sale for 1 "week", (7 days), and the "daily" sales will only be on sale for
1 "day". There should be 2 "weekly" sales &
15 "daily" sales in addition to the weekly Deal of the Week sales during the period of the 15 days until 2014.

Haven't been able to participate in this years ultimate game sale, but I'm hoping some of the same deals carry over to some of the sales in the future..

Probably some of them will be in the weekly deals with gold
