    Series X was off in idle mode heard a pffftttt noise and smoke was coming from the top. grabbed it pulled cables and moved it away as fast as I could, something was burning inside.

    Went through the support page was told as this is a safety issue I need to talk to somebody. 3 times I have got through to fellow gamers 3 times they have 're-routed me to a specialist' 3 times it has came up with the same 'speak to a specialist link' which is a dead link and just sends me back to the original support page. I left the original chat window open in the hopes I just needed to wait for it to connect me to somebody else but after 4 hours this closes too.

    this is potentially a serious issue and I cant find anywhere to speak to a real life person from actual Microsoft 10 minutes later and everyone would of been in bed and I wouldn't of been in the room with the xbox to deal with it,

    Thanks for the reply I appreciate the help but if I go to trigger the warranty then it advises me that due to the problem I have I need to speak to support directly before I can do that.

    I can always just select that my Xbox doesn't turn on and return that way but as this is already a new console from Xbox when my last one died after only a few months so I would really like to speak to a real person at Microsoft about this. like I say if this had happened 10 minutes later it could of potentially progressed into a serious fire.

    I've been told multiple times now I need to speak to a 'specialist' or a 'Microsoft advocate' but haven't actually been given a valid way on doing this.

    So, this is not normal to happen. I also have a Series X and with mine, this never happened. I do advise you to trigger the warranty. :/

    Click on the "Enter" option, it will take you to your registered devices page, select "more details" on your xbox then it will take you to a page that will inform your console warranty, below will have the option "Start Order" then, just follow the steps from there.

    On the support site, change the category/topic until you see the options to requeat a call back or chat with support (not an expert gamer). Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually works.

    I have been on the phone with xbox support and they confirmed it is an issue which is caused somehow by EA dropping the ball. I have been told to contact EA support direct, armed with my xbox support ticket reference number. I was also told by the support
    guy that EA would be able to issue me with an online pass code over the phone as they have failed to supply the code via the in-game store.

    Having the same issue. Was told to contact Mojang from Xbox Support. Looking at their support via Minecraft's website it says to contact Xbox Support.
