Xbox voice chats on windows 11

Hi there!

I'm trying to find out if there's a way to change the mic sensitivity for the xbox app on windows 11 itself. I've been told that there's an echo from my end when I have my mic sensitivity turned up, but it's the only app that gives the echo. If I turn it down for the xbox chats then go to stream or have a discord call or facebook call, no one can hear me because it's so low.

So I'm wondering if there's a way to adjust it. I thought it might have been a volume issue or my mic being too close to my speakers but it's neither. I moved my speakers farther away, still an echo, and if I turn my volume down, I can't hear game play or the VC so..... :/ I'm at a lost....

Ok, as I mentioned the Xbox app doesn't have that function, but it could be as i mentioned before, and combine it with using lower volume on your headset

Currently Xbox app doesn't have the option to adjust this as it goes with the system settings automatically, but you can adjust accordingly to Xbox on the system and then on other other apps use the internal option, like in discord audio settings menu

That's correct, even a directional mic, can get the sound on your speakers

Hi! So I am doing it through Windows key + G as it's the only way i know how to. i'm not using any headphones. It's going straight through the speakers that I have plugged in (bought from walmart >.> ) and the microphone that i'm using, which was also murchased from walmart if i remember correctly. But this is the only "app" that's having this issue. Discord isn't, Facebook isn't, nothing else that it's connected to has this issue. I'm adjusting my sensitivity straight in my computer settings.

Are you doing the VC through the Xbox app itself or through Game Bar? If you haven't tried Game Bar, then try it through that (Windows key + G). The Xbox App is not the greatest and has a history of issues.

Beyond that, what headset are you using? Does it have software? Is that where you are adjusting the mic sensitivity?
