Xbox voice chat party disconnects/won't connect playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.

Every time I am playing an Xbox 360 game using backwards compatibility the voice chat party if I'm in one disconnects and will not reconnect until I quit the game and go back to the home screen or launch an Xbox One game. I have tried looking through the
settings and I don't know what has been changed because I used to be able to do it before recently.

I cant go through the 360 emulator because my friends are playing other Xbox One games. The xb1 interface was working fine until recently when it dropped the connection and now it just hangs on “connecting” and never actually connects.

Happens to me and my friends to.

Party chat glitches as soon the Xbox original/360 games are loaded.

Only the person thats playing a Backwards Compatible game cant hear or talk to people.

Hi Dodge,

Thanks for coming to the forums. When you try and connect to party, are you doing this through the 360 emulator when you are playing a 360 game? If you are using the normal Xbox one party, try through the emulator. To pull this up tap both center buttons
at the same time the back button and start/menu button.

the only way this would be possible is one of two solutions you connect your party through the Xbox app on your pc and talk through the pc on either Xbox party or discord voice chat. There is no way of doing it any other way, however. due to the party
chat being on a different channel on the Xbox to the audio of the game on the Xbox. Or you can stream through the Xbox to pick up the party chat this way but you won't be able to use Obs.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting to discord through your Xbox. For us to further isolate your issue, kindly share the exact error message that you received.

If you're connected to a Discord voice channel on your Xbox console, your party chat status will say “Discord” and the name of the voice channel that you're in. If you want to join or start an Xbox party chat, disconnect from the Discord voice channel so that you can switch over to game or party chat.
