Xbox Video range download

Hi Guys,

I am unable to download xbox videos in the specified range say... 30 secs to 180 secs. I am able to access the video list user gamer tag and want to download the gamer video in the specific range, but it's not working. I have to download the video in my
Android app, a normal download manager just downloads the whole video. So, please advice if I can use this feature and what would be the reference download manager to achieve the task.

Summary of the cause of fall update video issues - forward to the Xbox team

Since the fall update there is an issue with video playback appearing washed out, or games appearing murky depending on the setup the player uses, and how it it set up.

Below is a summary of the causes for this issue, which should help in understanding and fixing it. Doing so is imperative. Therefore this post must be forwarded to relevant people on the Xbox team who have a technical understanding of the Xbox 360 internal
hardware and software design.

Causes for impaired video and/or game visuals in the Fall 2011 'Madrid' dashboard update

1.) In video apps, video is rendered to RGB color space, not kept in its native YCbCr color space. This means when the Color Space option in the HDMI settings on the Xbox 360 is set to Auto or Source, the output no longer switch to YCbCr output
upon video playback but stay in RGB.

Solution: Optimally, the video should be kept in its native YCbCr color space in the frame buffer.

and;

2.) In video apps, video is kept at limited range after conversion from YCbCr to RGB but graphics are rendered in full range, and the result is treated as full range.

Solution: The video and graphics must be correlated in levels. Either the graphics must be converted to limited range RGB or limited range YCbCr to match video and the input treated as limited range by the GPU display subsystem, or the video
must be converted to full range RGB to match the graphics, and the input treated as full range by the GPU display subsystem.

and;

3.) When changing the Reference Levels setting, the Xbox 360 switches to treat the dashboard graphics as limited range when they are full range, which persists until an app or game is launched, or the system is rebooteed.

Solution: The dashboard graphics should always be treated as full range RGB input by the GPU display subsystem.

and;

4.) The quantization range flags (Q1, Q0) in the AVI InfoFrame of the HDMI signal are always set to indicate limited range for RGB output, regardless ot the Reference Levels setting.

Solution: The GPU display subsystem should program the TV encoder (HANA) to indicate the quantization range relevant to the selected Color Space and Reference Levels settings. For YCbCr output, it should always be indicated as limited range.
For RGB output, 'Standard' reference levels should be indicated as limited range; 'Intermediate' and 'Expanded' reference levels should be indicated as full range.

The range is about the size of video in seconds. Let's take an example of a video of 2 minutes in duration and I want to download the video in the range (30 seconds to 60 seconds only). The idea is to download the only required video in the range specified.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with downloading videos in a specific time range. As far as the capabilities to download captures, you may from the Xbox App or from the Xbox Console. When you create captures you are now able to
edit, trim, without download other apps to help.
