    Xbox video purchased film buffering every few seconds


    I've purchased a film from XBox video (for the first time) and I can't watch it as it keeps buffering every few seconds. I watch films on Netflix all the time and never have this problem. How can I fix this or get refunded?

    Amazon instant video

    Amazon Instant Video shows any films purchased through Amazon and any Amazon Prime content.

    Xbox doesn't have a Prime App, rather Xbox Video which only shows films and shows purchased through Xbox Store.

    If films/shows purchased from Amazon aren't showing in Amazon Instant Video app you will need to contact Amazon Customer Support to verify your purchases.

    Remember, Amazon Prime content changes so they remove films/shows periodically and add new ones. Amazon Instant Video purchases remain all the time.

    Xbox Download rate 60 kbps after latest update.

    Tried installing latest update on July 26 and it timed out a few times before it finally downloaded after a few hours. Now I can't stream any type of video on Xbox video, Netflix, or Amazon without it buffering every few seconds. My downloads times have
    gone through the roof. I am connected via power through ethernet but have tried my wireless connection and neither have improved speeds. I reset my network settings and opened up suggested ports on my router. Nothing has worked. Every other device is running
    at optimal speeds including my PS3 and mobile devices. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please!?

    Have you tried downloading the movie to your console's hard drive? If you just recently purchased the movie you should have that option.

    Also, can you please run an internet speed test at speedtest.net then post the results?

    Have you tried downloading the movie to your console's hard drive? If you just recently purchased the movie you should have that option.

    has youtube updated and fixed there app

    They fixed one problem and gave us a new one. Now instead of buffering and never starting again it stops and buffers every couple seconds. Now every video, but a lot! I can't wait to get rid of this thing!

    Yeah. Youtube has been the worst app on the Xbox since the start and it has gotten much worse.

    If it does play, it keeps on pausing every few seconds to buffer (which takes longer to do than the video that has been played.

    Also, it completely freezes my console on a periodic basis.

    Some of the videos also seem to be having a problem with the buffering, so it pauses every few seconds, not a smooth stream.

    Since people are having problems too on both DVD and HD, it does seem unlikely that space on my hard drive has anything to do with it.
