Let's check the transaction first. Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders then check if you can see the Gamertag transaction from there.

No, "Username" and "xbox username" are not the same according to Xbox.

Xbox usernames can be up to 12 characters, including spaces. However, usernames cannot begin with a number.

Therefore, "Username" and "xbox username" are two different usernames, since one has a space in the middle and the other does not.

If you're trying to change your Xbox username, but Xbox tells you it's in use, someone may already have that username with a space in the middle.

To check this, you can try searching for the username with a space in the middle in the Xbox player list. If you find a player with that username, then that username is already in use and you will not be able to change your username.

In this case, you will have to choose a different username.
