xbox usb tethering for internet

hi I know this is not a question but I figured perhaps this might help others if you are trying to hook up your xbox using your phones internet via a wired connection for faster speeds or ping there is a way if you have a laptop or pc, preferably a laptop
since it is portable.

1. Run an ethernet cable from your xbox to your laptop/pc

2. Connect your phone to the laptop/pc and enable usb tethering

3. Where it shows your connect network select it open network and internet settings, from there find change adapter options and select it

4.at this screen you should see a list of networks from local, wifi and at least 2 ethernets one should be your phone and the other will be your xbox but it may not say on the name it is in fact your xbox.

5. Select your phones ethernet network and go to properties from there go to sharing, enable allow network connection from the box and select home network as the ethernet for your xbox (this will share your wired connection from your phone to your xbox using
the computer to bridge them together)

6. Also enable to allow other networks to control or disable the internet connection

7. Lastly go to settings and check all of the boxes you see and it should be working for you you can additionally make custom setups to check in this settings page such as ports but it should work without.

8. If your xbox initially or eventually doesn't connect via the wired connection all you should need to do is go to wifi or a different network connection and enable that to share to the xbox for a second and then go back and switch it for the phone to your
xbox this basically should just refresh the connection and get it working again. Hope this helps
