    Xbox updates on Xbox Series X are leading to constant loop issues


    It has been a week since Xbox has been rolling out small 500 mb updates, and these updates have led to a constant looping error where it wants to update again after the first restart. Now before anyone tells me about the current workaround of resetting my Xbox to factory (not a workaround btw), I have done this everytime they rollout an update. Here is the current workaround I have been using 1. Do a powercycle of the console when it is safe to do so, hold the x button for 10 seconds, then unplug the cord for 30 seconds. 2. Press and hold th Eject button and Pairing button, then press the X button to turn on console. This will bring you to the troubleshooting menu. 3. Factory reset console keeping apps and games. After it has done this, hit the three lines on your controller to ignore setting up your console on your phone, this will not work.
    4. Try the update it should cycle through.

    I have called Xbox support, and they sent me here as they have no idea what to do. How about not roling out a ton of updates?

    I’m having a similar issue. It is in a constant loop of queued, installation stopped. The and it isnt even showing the images for the game.

    Lots of space (50% on a One X) internet is connected and working. Reset router, checked for updates, reset the Xbox, reset internet connection etc

    I tried this sequence several times, left it unplugged for days even, still getting the same exact issue when plugging it back in and turning it back on.

    Seems like the only other things to try is either delete your profile (DON'T DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT THOUGH) from the console & if still struggling the only other option is to do a complete RESET of it, please make sure you have everything backed up to the cloud first though. If it doesn't work I don't know what to recommend as the next step. Good luck

    Hi there avanhandel welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. 1. Turn off your Xbox using the power button on the console.

    2. Once your Xbox has completely powered down, unplug the power cord from the back of the console. Don't simply unplug the cord from the wall's electrical socket — it must be disconnected from your Xbox.

    3. Wait for 5 minutes, and then reconnect the power cord to both the Xbox console and the electrical socket.

    4. Let another minute pass and turn it on afterwards.
