Xbox updates killed my gaming life

Lately every week I get two or three mandatory xbox console update messages that forbid me of playing my favourite xbox pass games. I AM NOT PAYING TO HAVE A STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION. I only buy a few cheap Gigabites every month from my phone witch is
enough to just to go online using hotspot just so xbox can acknowledge my subscription and allow me to play the games. These constant updates are forcing me to buy a stable internet connection. I can barely pay for my xbox pass subscription and buying a cheap
Internet connection costs 5 times that.

So I am asking. IS THERE A WAY TO AVOID THE UNESSESARY 500MB CONSOLE UPDATES? The console just works fine everytime before I get them. When a game needs an update once the month I take the console to my cousin. Whith the console needing updates we every
two days it is forcing me to quit gaming.

If you are getting 2 or 3 updates a week, then your console may be in the preview program. Launch the Xbox insider hub app (if not installed, install from the store). In the settings of the app, you should be able to find if your console is in the preview
program. If it is, you can remove it. Once you have done that, you should get one update which is the public build. Then you should only get one every time a public build is released.

Like a few people here, I always play the good path in games.

@24, I don't understand your post, but it's my life and I can pick and choose what morals to apply in games I play, and to be entirely honest I would have absolutely no qualms about killing a person in real life if the situation warranted it, so I can kill
people in video games without sacrificing my morals. ;-)

The way I see it Xbox draws player stats from PUBG API and adds new games, wins and kills to xbox gamehub. But for nearly 800 matches (400hours of my life) to be rolled back, it would have to be an error on xbox side
