    Xbox Update Problem, Xbox Not Restarting After Update


    So I recently got an update, and of course, I installed it, It said the usual, xbox will restart after the update. But this time it didn’t. It just basically shut my xbox down, I couldn’t turn it back on without unplugging it and plugging it back in, and when I turned it on, I had to download the update again. I’m basically in an endless loop of trying to install the update but I can’t, because my xbox doesn’t restart after it. I’ve heard other people have had this problem, any solutions?

    Thanks for the help. I went through the process and the Xbox started up and updated. After the update it said it would restart.

    However, the console turned off after the update and did not restart. And now the problem still is happening.

    This is seeming like a more serious problem than I originally thought.

    ok I have fixed my problem.........I had a back log of updates on my laptop so restart your laptop/PC/Tablet to install the updates then after that you should be able to access xbox music......turns out one of the updates was FOR Xbox music

    Stuck in hellish update loop

    power on your xbox while HOLDING the SYNC button on your xbox.

    This should clear your cache and corrupt update files.

    After it has completly booted, release the button and restart your xbox.

    After that, restart the update.

    • Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues to occur.
