Xbox update issues regarding Microsoft store

Microsoft are aware of the issue regarding the Microsoft Store. They have a service alert about it here

As for the games not updating, there is not a lot we can do but wait until Microsoft fix it.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues installing Forza Horizon 5. First, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date: Open Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > Click Check for Updates; Click the Download and Install Now if there are any updates available.

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Please try cancelling the update of both the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store, so that it disappears from the installation queue of both apps. After this it performs the update of the game directly from the Microsoft Store and check if from there it is updated without the error.

If you do not already have it, download the Xbox app from the Microsoft store. log in with the same Microsoft account you purchased the game with, and try installing / running the game from there

Steps to resolve the error

1. Update Windows.

Make sure Windows is up to date. To do this, go to Settings, Update & Security, Windows Update, and check for updates.

2. Update the Microsoft Store.

Open the Microsoft Store, go to Library, Get updates. If an update is available, install it.

3. Reset the Microsoft Store cache.

Press the Windows logo key + R.

Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.

Have you checked the updates on Minecraft Launcher, Microsoft Store, or Xbox App?

Thank you for the update. If you'll play Bedrock, you will have to use the launcher from Microsoft Store. Go to Microsoft Store or Xbox App, search and install Minecraft launcher.
