    XBox update corrupted external hard drive


    October 2020 XBox update update corrupted my 2TB xbox external hard drive. Anyone have the issue and have a solution? No light on hard drive but I can hear it spinning.

    Are you using an External hard drive? A corrupted External hard drive may cause issues as well such as deletion of some installed games.

    I appreciate the update, Ayden. Do you happen to have an external hard drive plugged into your console? A corrupted hard drive may cause these issues so please if these games are stored on your External hard drive, move them to your Internal storage and then unplug the external hard drive to test it out.

    At this point, one of the possible reasons now is a corrupted external hard drive or expansion card.
