Yes, you did miss some information when purchasing the Ultimate. When you purchase any subscription from Xbox, it starts a recurring subscription. It's up to you to turn off auto-renewal before you get charged again. So when you purchase the $1 promotion,
it would have warned you about that and that it would renew at the regular price of $14.99/month.

I do not understand ... then I have to wait for it to renew? and when it was renewed ... they took money from my card and it still keeps asking me to renew that subscription, I'm scared that I lost that money and the subscription won't be renewed
... I want the subscription renewed or my money ... it is incredible that this happens, because I took that charge if it was not going to be renewed

Probably that’s the reason, as you have an active ultimate subscription from another region, you can’t renew it
The best option is wait until your ultimate subscription ends and renew it (like the office 365, basically all the subscriptions are region locked)

From what I know, you can wait for the xbox ultimate subscription to end then don't renew it rather buy the subscription you want after that
