    Xbox turns on when using headset with other bluetooth device


    Hey, just wanted to share some info I came across. I was looking to find out how to disable my Razer Kaira Pro from automatically booting up my Xbox whenever I turned it on. I came across a thread that was locked and unable to answer my question.

    So after some searching I found a solution to the problem. There is none! Below is a quote from the Kaira Pro website under "General Information" explaining why not. The information is not specific to the Kaira headset but rather any headset using the Xbox wireless technology.

    "Your Xbox console is designed to boot up whenever you power on a device connected via Xbox Wireless. As your Razer Kaira Pro also uses Xbox Wireless to connect to your Xbox console, this behavior is normal and cannot be disabled."

    Question about headsets (Not sure if this is the correct forum to inquire about accessories)

    The Xbox bluetooth headset doesn't actually connect to the Xbox using a bluetooth connection. It's actually a dual purpose device. It will connect to the Xbox in the same way every other headset does. When you change it to
    bluetooth (a different mode), you can then connect it to bluetooth enabled devices.

    You could potentially connect the headset to a PS3 through bluetooth mode.

    I’m using a wired headset right now, and there’s no Bluetooth devices near me to my knowledge. I also turned off the Bluetooth on my phone

    I agree with wireless headsets, but to take the concept a bit further in detail. Using bluetooth to connect to any sort of headsets. A possible small blue tooth transmitting device that is placed into the controller allowing any headset that is bluetooth
    capable to turn into your favorite gaming headset. I have these awesome Sol Republic Headsets that use bluetooth and Id love to be able to use them for gaming.

    Is your headset already on the latest firmware?

    By the way, could you try connecting the headset to another compatible device to see how it goes?
    That help us to isolate the issue
    Yes headset is already on the latest firmware.

    With simultaneous Bluetooth connection it would be still connect with Bluetooth but not with the wireless adaptor. Even when I turn it off and on again.
