    Xbox turned off for no reason?


    PLEASE IGNORE IVE MANAGED TO FIX IT, I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG BUT I THINK THE CABLES JUST FREAKED OUT

    So i was just playing overwatch and then my xbox turns of with no warning. No sound of the power button or anything, just gone. I thought it had maybe just overheated, considering it was quite hot but im not sure. I haven't been hearing the fans lately,
    but i thought that was just because we moved the xbox into a more open area but now i dont know. Everythings definitely plugged in properly, but the power brick isnt on either. I cant hard reset because it wont turn on, and i doubt hard resetting would work
    anyway. At the time im writing this, the xbox has cooled down, but still nothing is working and id have nothing to do if it turns out its gone for good. Ive had other problems with the same xbox, but hard restting seems to have fixed them all so now im just
    confused.

    i also have no idea what to put the category as so i guess ill put accessibility?? i dont even know at this point

    Did anything else in your home specifically the same room as the console have any power outage? I've had a slight flicker only shut off my console and TV before but nothing else, quality surge bar fixed that for me. Otherwise, I have heard of consoles
    shutting themselves down when getting too hot.

    Put a little compressed air into the back and sides. It can be dust.

    Check for proper ventilation, you may want to also clean any dust buildups around the exhaust ports.

    Make sure your console has enough space to let air from the fan escape. I'd recommend keeping your console at least an inch away walls or other objects, and make sure not to leave anything on top of your console.
