Xbox turn on normally after a power surge

Hello guys, just wanted to check if my Xbox is faulty or not. Unfortunately for the last few days we've experienced power surges in our region due to the electrical company changing some cables and transformers in our vicinity, and everytime it happened, I had my XSX turned on. What surprises me is that when the power is back on and I turn my Xbox, it simply turns on. No system or storage check, no database reconstruction... Nothing. Which is quite literally opposite of my PS5, that does a couple of tests and reboots before checking the internal and external storage before finally coming back on. The only thing that requires me to reboot the console manually is that it will not connect to the internet if I'm using WiFi. But that's it.

Is this normal or is my Series X faulty? It is brand new, bought it less than a month ago, and according to the warranty, manufactured in February 2024.

Don't worry, it's completely normal. The times when the power has gone out in my house while I'm using the console, it restarts normally afterward. However, if there are frequent power outages in your house due to the reason you mentioned, I recommend using an external voltage regulator to fully protect the console.

Hello, I suggest a power reboot of console.

Instructions below:

Please hold xbox button in front of your console until light on your power surge turns a different color then it is at the moment permanently after it turns disconnect cable from power surge instead of the outlet. Release your finger from xbox button in
front of your console and press it one again. Power on your xbox power surge should be completely gone. Plug it back in and turn your xbox like you normally would. This should resolve any issue you might be having.

G'day KUSH! Just to be sure I understand, please confirm this: After shutting down the console by voice command, none of the normal methods for turning it on will get a response? Have you tried turning it on with voice, your controller, and the console's
power button?

If so, my next questions is this: Is the console plugged into a surge protector? If it is, try plugging it directly into the wall. Some surge protectors will put an outlet into a lower power state when it recognizes that the attached device has been turned
off. If this is the case, it's possible that the console isn't getting enough power to start up successfully. Let us know!

It is only recommended to connect your Xbox directly to the wall outlet, as it has its own surge protection built into the power supply.

Connecting your Xbox to a power strip or surge protector is the most common cause of it randomly turning on, as this can cause electrical "hiccups" with the built-in surge protection.

After you unplug it from the power strip, leave it unplugged for about five minutes. Then, connect it directly to the wall outlet.

Turn off your system as you normally would then unplug the power supply from the wall outlet or surge protector for about 45 seconds. Turn on console and see if that fixes your issue.
