    Xbox thinks keyboard is mouse


    I just got a new keyboard and mouse, but when I plugged them both into my series S, the mouse cannot work when the keyboard is also plugged in. I realized that the system thinks the keyboard is a mouse. Is there a way to fix this without having to factory reset my Xbox (I don’t want to wipe my accounts)

    Play Age of empires 4 on xbox with mouse and keyboard.

    I think Microsoft should released them on xbox with mouse and keyboard requirement. In addition they need to educate the public on the use of mouse and keyboard on xbox consoles.

    Sorry to hear about issue with the keyboard. Being the support for keyboard and mouse is still new there will be some that are incompatible with the Xbox. You can check out the

    keyboard and mouse support     see if it helps any. Ultimately though, all mouse and keyboard will be a third party device. Over time I think it will be more accessible for more and more keyboards.

    Should Overwatch get keyboard and mouse support?

    I don't think they should add mouse & keyboard support for Overwatch on Xbox because it would cause balancing issues. Players using mouse & keyboard would have a huge advantage.

    Will Xbox Scarlett be able to detect and disable/ban Xim and other mouse and keyboard adapters?

    I doubt that it will be banned, But the fact that these adapter make keyboard and mouse emulate a controller does pose an issue since the Xbox thinks a controller is plugged in and allows for aim assist with keyboard and mouse.

    We will just have to wait and see where this goes, I don't think we have to worry too much since Xbox now supports keyboard and mouse the sales for the adapters will soon start going down considerably if hasn't already.
