    Not. I press the forward button and let go and I keep going this is really annoying in games when you want to stand still please help. Xbox One controller issue

    Xbox One controller left joystick moves up on it's own

    So recently my left joystick has started moving up on its like it is jammed. I can set it down and it just starts moving the cursor up. When I am playing CoD:Ghosts and I am in the prone position, I just start crawling forward. It has gotten to the point
    when I need to select a menu I have to move the left joystick to the far left or right and use the D-pad to move up and down. I was chatting with support for over an hour and a half with no resolution before the chat window closed on me prematurely so I wasn't
    able to get any more troubleshooting. I have had the Xbox since November 2013 (9 days of CoD gameplay time) and general everyday use. I never had this problem with the 360 controller.

    Any thoughts? Anyone else have this issue?

    Yes there are settings for the controller but not for joysticks. You can change the buttons, etc but nothing for joysticks.. which seems odd to me. Just barely touch to move forward and the player shoots forward at ridiculous speed.. very very difficult
    to get the avatar to walk slow, or in fact to walk at all... and similar in shooting type games, very difficult to move the cursor slow to be able to target … I think it is **** and might just sell the whole thing. Certainly useless if cannot control movement

    I want to move forward in big numbers,”.

    That is quiet a different statement then, not going to happen. In short, False Equivalence.

    this is my third elite 2 controller and the first one did the same thing with the joystick slight moving on its own if i barely touch it. MY 2nd controller the TRIGGER STOPPERS would not work at all in the third mode. My 3rd Controller now still does the
    slight moving of the joystick again i completely agree for 200$ this should not be a problem.

    Okay, I tested it. If I barely move the joystick, it won't do anything, but it's such a miniscule dead-zone, it's not really worth mentioning; no game would ever need to be that sensitive. The only reason it's there in the 1st place is because the bottom
    plastic edge of the joysticks have to move down (as you push the joystick up, down, left, or right) to touch the sensor inside of the controller to activate the signal so that it knows you're moving the joystick - that's all; that would be true for ANY controller.
