    Why does my xbox keep switching itself off seconds after I switch it on. How do I fix it. I've blow dried it reset it still nothing. Should I just throw it away now.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Please make sure that the console is in a well-ventilated place, with enough space on top and both sides.

    Also, make sure that it is plugged into a wall socket. If you have an external hard drive, unplug the hard drive as well, because a corrupted drive may cause issues.

    Thanx. I've tried blow drying the dust out. And changed power cables and resetting. It still does the same starts up and seconds later turns off.

    Sorry to hear your Xbox One powers on and off. To start out, do you have your Xbox One connected directly to a wall outlet, or are using a power strip? If you're using a power strip, make sure to plug it directly into a wall outlet to avoid power issues. Let

    Have you tried switching the controller off before going afk?

    Press and hold the xbox logo on the controller until a menu comes up stating, switch off console, switch off controller etc.
