Xbox Support is honestly embarrassing...

Okay well microsoft support told me to basically [Mod Removed]... slam ended the chat in my damn face.... I might not be as big but hear me out... If ninja said his [Mod Removed]was coming to xbox he would get the name ninja, so I cant get the name HaloTV,
or even haiotv, all im saying is im not paying $20 when I shouldnt need to pay that damn much... sick of xbox bro really am support is unhelpful . I feel as i was wronged and I should atleast be credited a damn free name change on my other account! I got one
before so idk why they say they cant! A total disgrace...

I have been trying for about 2 years to change my gamertag to: HaloTV

It says that the name is taken when its not, I understand that it could be reserved or being used by a Skype account but from my knowledge a reservation should not last for two years, and the Skype should have nothing to do with an xbox gamertag. I have
contacted Xbox support a good 10 times and a support manager once, none of which have been a help to me what so ever.

I want and need this name because it is the name of my Instagram account HaloTV. My name as of right now is plain out dumb so I barely tell people what my GT is, also although unlikely its very hard
to be recolonized in online matches because of this. I need help with this problem and I cannot wait any longer and I am not sending in a suggestion on that other website thingy because no one from xbox reads that stuff there..................... HELP!

Is there like anything that we can do to change that? Because I really need this gamertag, more than you know. Like how about if he changes his tag? Or something else like you guys just manually putting it through?

Honestly, I'd rather do it alone than anyone see me. Too embarrassing. It really does make you look like a joke.

 

As already stated in your other thread, there is no way to get the tag unless the owner changes it to something else or they do not sign in for 5 years. There is no way to have it manually changed because someone is using it.

You can always change your old name to free it up for use, but you have to pay in order to change your tag.

Your other thread was closed because it was already answered. Creating duplicate threads is frowned upon.

one of the Microsoft engineers that launched the Xbox 360 and Kinect already has that name.

And you CAN get HaioTV, you're just to cheap to pay for the change. So there is a difference between being unable to get it, and not wanting to do something to get it. And if you don't want to pay for the change, you are to blame for not getting it. ;-)

 

Just to add. Everyone has to go through the same process so you being singled out in no way. Follow the rules set for everyone and if you are not willing to do that then other options are always available. Have a great day and good luck on whatever course
