    Xbox suddenly Strict NAT. Problem started after new update


    Never had problems with NAT till now in my new house. Brother I live with is an IT Director and got it to Moderate NAT.

    This all started as soon as I downloaded the latest update. Anyone experience the same or know fixes?

    NAT issue Netgear R7000 router

    have you tried factory reset via the hole in the back of the router

    I had the same problem with the strict NAT after updating the firmware & factory reset (via the browser page (10.0.0.1) I still had a Strict NAT connection

    So I thought start from scratch & Factory reset via the hole in the back with a paper clip straightened out a bit wait for the lights to all flash @ once pull clip out then Test I got a open NAT straight up

    the firmware must need to be reset to start working the new version

    Hope this helps some ppl with this awesome Router cant wait for the new one with the built in modem

    "Lost connection to host" CONSTANTLY in Blackops

    Check your nat type at the bottom before starting a match. If it is moderate or strict there is your problem. When it is on moderate Or strict and you go to migrate to a new host then you can have issue connecting to the new host depending on your nat
    type and the host nat type. Let me know if this is your issue and I can help you with getting your nat type back to open.

    You indicate you have the ports forwarded. Was that done prior to or after the NAT went to strict? If you are able to get into the configuration of the Speedport you could try resetting it to default and enabling UPnP and see if that helps the condition.
