Xbox stuck on You'll Need Internet for this

After turning on xbox it is stuck on screen saying "you'll need internet for this, it doesn't look like you're connected to the internet. check your connection and try again. error code 0x800704cf

I cannot get either of my controllers to connect wirelessly or via usb. Please help

I’m having the same issue. If I get past the screen, it doesn’t read my external HD. Also won’t allow for a restart or a full shutdown without booting right back into this. Tried power cycling several times. Seems like a bad update or something.

Thats been happening to me recently... i usually just sat there on home screen for a bit until it fixed itself. Also try restarting the xbox

I get to that point. Sitting at home and eventually it connects to internet and the controllers. About a 2 minute wait. But still doesn’t read the external HD. I tried all 3 ports, power cycling and restarting. That first error comes back on all reboots.
