Xbox stuck on intro screen

So i recently did the offline update to solve the problem of my brother's xbox getting stuck on the green intro screen. However, it still got stuck the next time he turned it on. Ive tried to reinstall the update but every time it turns back on it gets stuck.
What should I do?

Hi there! Regrettably, the best way to resolve this issue, is to complete the manual update. I have had to do this a few times and have had no issues, or loss of data from doing so. It simply runs as a normal system update does.

Hello. I followed the instructions on the Microsoft site and I managed to use the offline update to fix it.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.
