    Xbox streaming is blurry

    Hello,

I have an xbox series x and when playing remote play and there is movement the image on my tablet is really blurry. When I stand still it is ok. I haven't found any settings I can change to improve this. Both xbox and tablet are on the same network.

    Some additional information:

    • The network is fine. My xbox is on the same network and is connected wired. My tablet is connected via wifi at a speeld of 866 Mbps via 5Ghz. Connection is stable and has a low ping
    • Running playstation remote play on the same tablet works fine and is a lot sharper than the xbox. This is done right after each other so it's not other devices that are slowing down the wifi at the time of testing. After swapping back and forth every 5
mins xbox is blurry and playstation remote is ok.
    • I have monitored network traffic and there is no external traffic for remote play, meaning that it really uses my internal home network and doesn't go via the internet.
    • To be clear, I am talking about remote streaming of my own xbox, not about xcloud.

In the playstation app I can also set some options on image quality but I can't find any options in the xbox app.

Is there anything I can do about this?

    Thank you,

    Jorn

    :)

Blur with the Xbox Stream option to PC

    Hi Alex IN,

Here's a trouble shoot to Improve Xbox Console Companion Quality but i have a feeling it wont help all that much because
    it mostly talks about wireless.

Is the stream on the companion app itself Blurry/pixelated? OR is it only when loading the source to OBS blurry? OR is only the final stream output (Streaming/Recording)

This is to establish where the problem may be.

If the stream on Xbox Companion App is blurry, then i'd recommend making sure there's no congestion(too much traffic) on the network, and ensure you're using 100/1000mb network cables to both PC and Xbox.

If the stream on the OBS source is blurry, you may need to adjust your resolution on your monitor where the Xbox Companion App is, and make sure its a resolution such as 1920x1080.

If only the OBS output is blurry, then i'd suggest looking into the OBS settings, and making sure that your bitrate is set to between 2000 or 4000. You can go higher if your internet upload allows for it.

There are a couple other settings that i'd recommend you check on OBS too such as the profile, and the encoder. the New NVENC encoder for nvidia GPU's is very effective.

    Hope this helps

    No External Storage at Launch

I have a 100meg connection with my Xbox 360 wired up to the network and Netflix still can't consistently stream in any decent quality, it switches frequently from good quality to blurry mess.
