XBOX streaming custom quality.

Hi,

Been looking trough to files and found out witch settings the xbpx app uses.

GAME_STREAMING_VERY_HIGH_QUALITY_SETTINGS":"12000000,1080,60,59,0,10,40,170"



found in:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxAppBeta_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalStat\Settings.json

I guess this defines the quality of the stream.

If i try to change them they will change back to the default.

Anyone smart enough to make this work?

Stream Super HD and 3D

Having the same issues.... The streaming quality on my Xbox One is far inferior to my Apple TV Netflix streaming. Xbox One is hardwired to my router with a 80mbps download Verizon FIOS connection. I'm able to receive Super HD quality via my Apple TV so I
know my ISP supports it.... This is an issue isolated to my XBox One. I'm a loyal Xbox customer but I'm very disappointed that we haven't heard more from Microsoft at least providing some feedback as to a timeline.

What is it you want to achieve?

I assume the first number is bit rate, then resolution (1080) and frames per second (60,59).

I don't know what happens if you change of it though and I'm not yet sure why you would want to.

 

When there is fast camera movement the screen becomes a bit blocky at times. Maybe if I could change the bitrate it might fix this?

You can lower the bit rate in the Settings by changing Very High to High on your streaming preferences. You wouldn't need to edit some files in that case.
