  1. Xbox Streamers That Stream Through A PC, How Do You Split Your Party/Game Chat Audio

    Hello,
I am getting to the point where I can start getting better equipment for my streams. I was curious as to the best way for me to be able to be able to hear audio coming from my PC and my Xbox through one headset with the ability to still chat outside of
a party and able to mute myself in and out of party chat so that my stream can hear me but, people on the Xbox don't. I have been looking everywhere on the internet on how to do this but I dont think I am asking the right questions. The set up that I have
come close to doing this at the moment is using a pair of LS50x headphones that can connect to both my PC and Xbox at the same time wirelessly but, the audio quality isnt great and from time to time they will turn off for no reason. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated!

    :)

    Audio capture

the only way this would be possible is one of two solutions you connect your party through the Xbox app on your pc and talk through the pc on either Xbox party or discord voice chat. There is no way of doing it any other way, however. due to the party
chat being on a different channel on the Xbox to the audio of the game on the Xbox. Or you can stream through the Xbox to pick up the party chat this way but you won't be able to use Obs.

    Stream mic Xbox One (PC)

It depends on the type of your streaming Microphone.

If it's an USB microphone, then no.

If the Microphone has an analogue connector (e.g. 3.5mm jack), you could use a headphone/microphone to CTIA adapter, and plug your Astro into the headphone plug and your streamer microphone to the microphone plug, and then plug the CTIA adapter into the
    controller.

Alternatively, if you use a third party streaming software and are screen capturing from your PC, you can start the Party through the Xbox App on your PC, and stream the game to a capture card on your PC. Then you can mix the game audio from the captured
console with your party sound (if your streaming software allows such a mix), and then stream that from your capturing PC to your streaming platform.

    Streaming with friends in Warzone

If your teammates are playing on PC they could join you Xbox Party, where you then include party audio in the capture settings. However, you should be able to hear your teammates through the stream if you are using in game chat and ensure you're not in
    an Xbox Party.

No In-Game chat while using Xbox Companion App

    Hi AustinM2,

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

Are you streaming to Twitch directly from the Twitch app on the Xbox? Or are you streaming your Xbox One to your PC through the Xbox Console Companion app? Are you using party chat on the Xbox, or a party through the Xbox Companion app?

What you are describing is by design using the Xbox Live party chats because the servers for the chat are separate from the in-game chat servers. Xbox Live parties effectively mute in-game chat, and mute yourself from in-game chat as well because as I mentioned
previously, party chats and in-game chats run on different servers. Xbox Live parties are more private channels for chatting with friends, so the muting aspect is by design. I believe this is why many Twitch streamers use Discord since you can hear both the
Discord chat and in-game chat at the same time.

does my twitch stream still pick up party audio when we switch party to in game chat on xbox Series X?

    Hello JoeDaddy89,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to know if your Twitch stream still picks up party audio when you switch party to in-game chat on Xbox Series X. This is a good question and I will try to help you with it.

The answer depends on how you are streaming your gameplay. If you are using the Twitch app on your Xbox Series X, then your stream will only pick up the audio from the chat channel that you are currently in. So, if you switch from party chat to in-game chat, your stream will also switch to in-game chat audio. However, if you are using a capture card or a PC to stream your gameplay, then you may have more options to control the audio sources. For example, some capture cards have separate audio inputs for game sound and chat sound, so you can choose which one to include in your stream. Similarly, some streaming software on PC have audio mixer features that allow you to adjust the volume or mute different audio sources.

I hope this information was helpful and answered your question. If you have any other questions or issues, please feel free to contact us again. Have a great day and happy gaming!
