Xbox Store killed by parental controls

Both of my sons have adult accounts that my wife set up years ago when there were no kid accounts. There apparently is no way to switch them to kid accounts where they can keep their friends lists and all the rest. So I tried to use my router to block
adult content. It's a Cox Panoramic. It shuts down the Microsoft Store on the Xboxes so that none of the games work. so the Microsoft Store is so full of porn that it's automatically blocked?

I have been trying to figure out a way to block porn on the Xbox for quite a while and apparently there's no way to do it because the Microsoft Store won't allow any 3rd party filters, software or physical, to work as they shut it down too.

So how can I get this to work? I doubt Microsoft is going to clear their store of porn since it's apparently so important that the whole UI doesn't work with parental filters on, but is there some other way? If worse comes to worst I'm going to just kill
their accounts but I'm trying to avoid that if I can.
