Xbox still shows old gamertag

I changed my gamertag, payed for it, and everything was fine so far. When I check my own profile it only shows my new gamertag, but when I visit my profile on a other account, it shows my old gamertag first, and right under my new gamertag. How do I remove my old gamertag completely?

You have to change the classic gamertag in the options before you purchase or use your new gamertag.

The classic gamertag is for the games that don't support the new gamertag system and the new gamertag system works in only a select few games supporting the feature

You will still retain a gamer tag for Xbox 360 compatibility, and the database tends to take up to a week to update everything

Hi. No it isn't showing both at the same time. When I turn on xbox it shows my new gamertag. But whenever I go online it shows the old one. Playing mw3. Multilayer with my friends they are still seeing the old gamertag. When I log in to Microsoft online it shows my new gamertag.

I've cleared cache on the xbox. Deleted profile and added again and still not updating.

All it is, that they have changed their gamertag, and their old gamertag is still showing.
