Xbox Stereo Headset playback problem

Is it normal for the stereo headset to playback audio in one ear (right ear)? If not, are there any recommendations to fixing it?

Certified Headsets not working...cell phone headsets do ?????

It's my understanding that as part of the
preview program you will want to post to the insider forums . Additionally, submitting

feedback through the console will be the best way to make sure the team is aware that you are having an issue.

Also, it might be helpful to know when you say "...actual headsets designed to work with XB1", are you referring to the "Xbox One Stereo Headset" ? If so,
may I suggest you double check "Set up and troubleshoot your Xbox One Stereo Headset" .

Stereo Headset adapter...crackling audio

I have the same problem with the standard Xbox Stereo Headset.

Smash, a stereo headset should be producing sound in both ears unless the media you're viewing is only supposed to be in your right ear. The issues could lie in the connection for the headset to the controller, the wire connecting the headset to the controller
or the headset itself. Is it only happening in game or is it all of the time?

Happening all the time, and I just bought it last night.

Happening all the time, and I just bought it last night.

Same here, I have managed to get my Xbox Wireless Headset Stereo working but only once I have disabled the Hands Free AG on Playback & Recording but only for as long as they stay disabled.

So I've got the line in, in the playback settings and I've set it to default device but still no audio coming from my xbox to the usb port on my computer I have my headset plugged into. I also have a option called Stereo Mix

Hi Zathrus,

We have two of the
Xbox Stereo Headset with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.
