We very much empathize to you after reading your current post that you're having trouble with linking your Xbox and Steam EA accounts. To clarify, are you trying to link your Xbox EA account to your Steam EA account so that you can access your expansion packs on both platforms?

On the other hand, we very much appreciate you for sharing your current concern with us. However, if we are correct that you are you trying to link your Xbox EA account to your Steam EA account so that you can access your expansion packs on both platforms.

You may need to contact EA support for assistance with this issue. In order for you to get the most relevant answers and the best solution to your current concern. They should be able to help you unlink your Xbox EA account from your mother's email and link it to your own email instead. You can reach EA support through their website. purchasing ea play on pc is through ea app or via steam, if you have ultimate gamepass on xbox then you get access to ea play on the ea app on pc if the accounts are linked.

if you only have ea play on xbox then you need a separate sub for ea play with the ea app or steam.

In EA Play application MS account is not linked.

(while the Steam account is linked easily)

they cannot integrate it to the xbox app any further as ubisoft and EA do not want that. they allow you to link your ultimate and have access to the EA play titles but only via their own apps, Microsoft has no say in this and if Microsoft pushed then they could just walk away and gamepass sub on pc would then not include EA play.

EA and Steam did a better integration as you get to manage and install via Steam and earn Steam cheevos too, but you still need the origin app running in the background then too.
