Xbox slow read from disc?

Hi there, I bought Star Wars Battlefront 2 as a DVD disc but my Xbox is really slow installing it, is it only a visual bug or the reading is actually slow?

it's only 44 Kbs in 5 mins :\

I'd like to see income to my Xbox but from what Ive read, I'd hope it'd be faster than what I've read about You Tube. Some say it's slow and having a slow Internet is worse than no Internet to me.

Xbox speed test

Why when I do a speed test on the xbox is it slower then what my laptop reads? Both are hard wired but the speed reading on xbox always results in being a few Mbps slower. I have read issues about latency being high because it goes to the Seattle servers.
Would this be the reason for the slower speed reading?

Please try carrying out a full console power cycle by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds and once the console has powered down restart the console and then restart installing the game. Please don't
forget that when you are installing a game it will probably also be installing game updates from the Xbox servers at the same time and this might be part of the reason for the slow installation.

There is a way to get faster downloads. I read about it on the support page. You guys should check it out.

Edit: it was for slow installs from disc...

Have you tried it the way it is recommended? Install disc one to the HDD and play off of disc two. Maybe the read speeds of the USB are too slow.

Disc games are slow to install too because blu-ray reads slow.

A 4x blu-ray drive transfers data at a faster rate than a 12x dvd drive. So it is doubtful slow install times are at the drive end.

From what I've read when you install a game the One tries to get any game updates at the same time, meaning you've got two things trying to access the hard drive.

Disk installs apparently go a lot faster if you disconnect from the internet.

Fowl, I dont have a storage problem and I'm offline mostly but system is up to date. (I at least update my console when I hear or read up on any updates for xbox.) From what I can tell it's just a reeeeaaallly slow disc install offline.
