Xbox skipping Tiles in UI, making navigation difficult!?!?!

While going through my games and apps or even my pins...after I press a direction once...it moves 2 or 3 times on its own. My controller is not damaged (as far as I can tell). I can't even select Netflix because it auto skips 2 or 3 places beyond it. (Tried
this using both the joystick and the dpad..it still skips)

Also while I am gaming, The camera will auto aim down (I play inverted)....

Any tips?

Microsoft promises to fix UI

I'm sure they can fix it up but I think the UI isn't that bad. I've been using the Windows 8 UI for a while now and I'm actually getting used to it. I'm sure I'll be in smooth sailing with the Xbox One UI. It's just a matter of knowing where to put the tiles to really make it useful to you.

Fan-made UI video gets Microsoft's attention.

To me it's not so much about making it feel like I own the product, but customizing the UI makes it feel different to my friends. I like how Microsoft have let us change the colour for some of the tiles on the UI. It's the same
story with my gamerpic.

wallpaper wouldnt work with the metro ui. some of the tiles are live and have animations. it would be too much visually and look horrendous. its not like x360 which is a hybrid metro, its much easier to use and navigate.

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. I have a ps4 and Just got an xbox one and I'm having a blast with both systems, but the xbone seems more next gen. I like the simplicity of the Ps4 in terms of navigating the UI as you can get to things quickly.
My only complaint with the xbone is that everything is an app and sometimes i don't want to snap this to the side and such as xbox music, I just want to listen to music in the background and navigate the dashboard. I'd also like to see the inclusion of live
tiles (it would break up the constant color of the main tiles) ala windows phone and the ablity to resize tiles.

I agree, the new Netflix App on Xbox one is horrible. They took away several features and made the UI more difficult to navigate. Voice control is now almost impossible. I guess I'll be using Amazon Instant Video much more than I used to.
