Xbox shutting off while playing games (Xbox one X)

My xbox one x shuts off every time i land at the grotto and go into the wind tunnel but it does not say it over heated it says “this xbox is made to shut off after a little while” but the first time i experienced this issue was at a different time i was
playing my third hour i landed at the grotto then my console just shut off and it was 5:55 then the next day i land at the grotto agian at 3:30 it just shut off and this was my first hour

I am having this same issue with the Xbox 1 X. Having the issue with the same game tonight but it has also been an issue while playing Borderlands 3. Also no error codes before or after the shut off. Game just freezes for about 10 seconds, party chat can
still be heard and then shut off.

The Xbox is in an open clear space but after a few minutes the Xbox shuts off. I have had this same problem before. When I turn the console on it gives me a message about ventilation. So will a cooling fan help the issue or should I send it for repair?
Also, my warranty has ran out.

It sounds like a ventilation issue and it could be something internal. You may need to send it in for repairs. To do that just follow the steps here
