    Hi, so my sister likes to use my Xbox since she doesn't have one, and today about 5 minutes ago, she tried to play but it said she had to pay for Gold or Ultimate even though I have Ultimate and my Xbox is set as my home Xbox.

    Can't download games with gold

    Me and my brother have each others xbox set as the others home xbox so we can share games. He has access to gold and get the games with gold which doesn't make sense because I should also have it since we get gold monthly.

    If you only have the one Xbox in the house, it is easy to login on your account go to Settings --> Personalization --> My Home Xbox and set the system to be your Home system. Your Gold/Live account is now shared with anyone that uses that system. So now
    you can sign out, let your son sign in and he has Gold access as long as he is using that system.

    I have two Xbox systems, one is setup as Home and my kids use that system. The other is in my office and not setup as a Home system but Gold/GamePass/Digital Games all come with two licenses. One attaches to your Gamertag and the other attaches to your
    Home Xbox. So I can login with my Gamertag on my office Xbox and enjoy Gold while my kids login on their Xbox (set as My Home Xbox) and enjoy Gold as well, even play games with me. This way I don't have to buy each kid their own Gold subscription.

    Follow these steps to set up "Home Sharing" https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

    The quick version is to Set each others Xbox as "Home" For the Gamertag.

    The Gamertag with gold will "Share" with the accounts on that xbox. But that gold only works on THAT system for non gold accounts.

    You may have Xbox Live Gold on your account but you need to set that Xbox as your "Home Xbox" in the Console settings so that other people can use the Gold access. Log in to the Xbox with your account and look in the settings for the ability to set it
    as your Home Xbox. Once set as your Home Xbox, anyone that uses that Xbox gets the Gold benefit. This may be preventing him from playing Fortnite.

    If your fiance paid for the game using his account, you can set his account as home Xbox on your console to share the game. Your home Xbox lets you share games and content with other people who sign in to it with their profile.

    To set his account as Home Xbox, Please select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.
