Xbox series x won't update or install games or apps

I currently have this issue. Was in the middle of Starfield and the power went out. Didn’t come back on until 20mins later. Didn’t think to get back on because it was late. I get on after work and Starfield needs an update but none of the apps will fully load. I can open apps/ games and it’ll load but it won’t get past loading screen. I reset the Series X but kept the apps and games. And now I can’t even sign in.

I just had this happen to me and this did resolve the issue.

FYI though there was only room for 4 digits separated by dots for secondary. I did 8.8.4.4 and it worked.

Hope this is on the priority list of things to fix, annoying bug.

Go to your network settings and in advanced options change the DNS to primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4.4.

Remove your account from the console

Press and hold the power button on the console until the Xbox turns off completely.

When the indicator lights on the front panel of the Xbox turn off, unplug the power cord from the back of the Xbox.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Reconnect the Xbox console and turn it back on.

Re-enter your account and test if the error persists.

I have spend probably since September hard at this problem that started around June July.

So I tried going off phone data and no fix, I tried a few other things, I took my Xbox to work and installed the updates,

So it will work, I tried so Many things even got a different router from my ISP. No luck again.

Ended up buying another router (yes more money to sort an issue I think IPV6 has created to be honest.)

I don't know how the Xbox Servers are set up but if you don't have a recent released Router there can be issues.

I got a TPlink AX1500 nothing special but Umart advised a better gaming router would be more likely to help speed. So I also got a AX1800 EAP610

I have hard wired (again) to my router and finally can install content.

The access point I did hard wire and I do not have POI so I have a outlet to supply power to it.

I don't know if it is this combination or simply the new router but I can update and install content.

Only wish I could get the last 6 months of Ultimate back as I think XBOX did change something early this year as I was having issues all the time trying to link up my 2 consoles and play Halo 4 player co-op campaign.

Tech support from Xbox well don't waste your time they can all be made redundant as they call when your at work and cant do anything, not like the good old days when there was a hotline to call for around the clock help. (I thought that is why we pay subscription fees hey)

I have had this issue for months now. I try to play COD MWIII and it won't update when I have a direct wired Ethernet connection to my XBOX SERIES X. The only solution I have is to quit the game and pull the wired connection and make the xbox connect to the wifi. I then go back into the game and it updates and plays fine. After it updates, I replug in the ethernet wire.

This is driving me crazy and has also happened with Fortnite. It doesn't happen with Halo and maybe they don't update as often.

I have seen this error come up Dushok_Resort? Or something like that.

My router and xbox has been reset and changed multiple times with no fix for this???
