    Xbox Series X won’t recognise discs (0x82d40004)


    Evening,

    Earlier today I put in L4D2 into the drive and it sounded pretty rough. After I placed a few other discs in and it wouldn’t recognise any of them wether they were games, blu rays or UHD’s. (0x82840004)

    I followed something on YouTube and done a full power down at the front of the console and now all seems ok. Is this a common issue or something that’s gradually going to get worse? I’ve got two days left of holidays at the moment and tempted just to get another for peace of mind.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    It can be an intermittent issue only and you don't have to worry, because if it was fixed by a powercycle it means that it's not a serious issue.

    Also, according to Xbox Support in regards to the error code: "This may mean we're having trouble checking usage rights."

    The disc games may have been dirty. Here you go:

    Yes. for xmas today i received the game, so i went and put it on download in my xbox one (all worked fine) later i receive my xbox series x, i put the disc in and nothing happens. it doesn’t even recognise the disk is there. i have the normal game because of game pass but the nightmare edition contains 4 DLC’s which i cannot receive due to the game not being recognised on the series X.

    Why does my Xbox series x 87 days old not play any disc whatsoever ?? Won’t play Xbox one game Xbox 360 dvd or Blu-ray won’t play anything it’s the 5th Xbox on the spin to do this ?     YouTube has like 50 videos of people not being able to play a game they own on disc I think I’ll get full refund and buy PS5 no way will a Sony product not read discs
